BE APART OF......
THE FINAL FOUR
The Pro-Bowl is a event but its not as garnered as the Super Bowl (NFC WINS).....I still root for teams in fair victory . Mike Tomlin (head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers) made history on all levels so, I am very honored that it took place in fair sportsmanship...in Tampa ( THE WORLD PAUSED WHEN ANTHEM WAS PRESENTED BY MS HUDSON...THE JET PLANES FLEW RIGHT OVER MY PLACE...)
To some more additional facts....Fritz Pollard was the first black NFL coach in 1921..his descendants lobbied for that recognition for him to be into the hall of fame. He was also the first black to play in the Rose Bowl.... He was born Jan 27,1894 in Chicago; starred in basketball, track and field, and football by the time he graduated from high school, according to the Minneapolis-based African American Registry.
He later formed, owned, and coached the Chicago Blackhawks in 1928...The blackhawks played against the white teams from the Chicago Area and encouraged football between the races.
They, too, follow in Pollard’s footsteps. On Feb. 14, Arizona real estate businessman Reggie Fowler agreed to purchase the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, a team worth about $604 million, according to a survey by Forbes magazine. Art Shell continued the road to diversity and dominance being the second for the L.A. Raiders.
If approved, the purchase would add Fowler to the handful of black owners of major professional sports teams, which includes the NBA’s Bob Johnson, owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, and rapper Jay-Z, who last year became a minority investor in the group that owns the New Jersey Nets.
